Mozilla SW!PEInfotainment Webseries / Branded Content In 2012, we were contacted by the Mozilla Corporation to create a pilot program of 3 webisodes that promoted the newly created Mozilla Marketplace. With the two giants of app stores – iTunes and Google Play, Mozilla was trying to carve out a new niche of users while also increasing visibility and awareness for their own take on apps. Through Gen/One Digital we pitched the idea of SW!PE, a brand agnostic infotainment show that both reviewed apps but also delved into the relatively new world of app culture. I still don’t think it resonates with enough people that “apps” in the modern sense of the word are only about 6 years old. We have seen a seismic shift in how we engage with technology and SW!PE was intended as a platform to explore this change. I’m proud of what we did with the show and strongly feel as technology progresses its essential to take stock of where we’ve come from and where we’re headed to, both short-and long-term. |
